How To Track Your Credit History
Today keeping track of you credit history and credit score can be nearly a full time job. There are countless websites that offer free reports and and paid for subscriptions but in this article I’m going to show you a website that you can get nearly everything free to monitor and watch over your credit with ease.
Where To Get Your Credit Score
With all the different websites to choose from to get a credit score their is really only one real source you should consider and that is annual credit report dot com. This site is considered the real source when it comes to getting your credit score.
Annual credit report is also the site where you can get the cheapest credit report and score around. I should also clarify one thing before I move on, in order to setup to set up your credit monitoring system. The report itself is free but you can only get it once a year. The score however, will cost you $7 every time you wish to see it.
How To Monitor Your Credit Properly
So now that we know how much the report and score will cost you I will show you how to monitor you credit properly.
The first thing you should know is that you can get up to three different credit reports at any one time. These reporting companies are Experian, Transunion, and Equifax.
Second, you don’t need to pull all three of these credit reports at once because you will only get one report per year from each company. Instead pull one report and score from one company every four months. This way you will be able to monitor your credit over the entire year instead of just one time a year.
Finally, pull the report and pay for the score, and look for mistake on your credit report. If you have a mistake on your credit report you may be able to dispute it and have it removed thus improving your score.
In Closing…
If your looking at home refinancing with bad credit this method I mentioned above will be helpful to help you build up your credit and get a lower rate and in turn pay a lot less in interest over time. Also you never know what other companies may be reporting to the credit bureaus so it’s always a good idea to read up on these reports from time to time.
